Registration

Spend a Saturday with Florida pastured poultry producers in O'Brien, Florida. This community day is a networking opportunity to meet with other pastured poultry farmers in the region, form alliances, learn from each other, and build relationships.

Register at Eventbrite.

All experience levels welcome. If you have questions about getting started or getting better, bring them and be ready to participate.

Our host, Pastured Life Farm (Dave and Ginger Shields), currently raise broilers, layers, and heritage chickens.  They process on-farm and manage a feed cooperative.

The emphasis of the day will be on collaboration, group discussion and problem solving. Bring your questions, your ideas, your challenges, and your successes. Be prepared to share.

Agenda:

  • Pastured poultry management and nutrition by Jeff Mattocks
  • Pasture Walk and Talk - An up close look at poultry in the field
