Joe's Farm is a pasture based farm, dedicated to producing high quality products through ethical farming practices. By moving our animals to fresh pasture regularly we are producing healthier products for our customers, healthier lives for our animals and a healthier environment for everyone. Joe Koopsen started Joe’s Farm at the age of 15 in 2011. Having not come from a farming background, Joe had the opportunity to learn new and innovative farming practices. Every year we continue to grow and learn more about how we can better serve our costumers through helping them achieve better health.

Eggs -

Our hens pasture outside where they are free to peck around at grass, bugs, worms, and produce scraps. Are hens are happy and lay high quality eggs with thick, orange, delicious yokes! Our hens are fed feed that is antibiotic and hormone free.

We raise our broilers outside where they are free to eat grass, bugs and worms. They are also fed feed that is antibiotic and hormone free. Our chicken is available at our farm stand, at the farmers markets we attend and in pre-orders of larger amounts.

Pastured Poultry Difference

With constant access to fresh pasture, pastured poultry is better for the chickens, the land, and the people.

Pastured poultry:

  • connects you to the face behind the food.
  • turns manure into an asset that builds fields, soils and wildlife ecology.
  • imparts a deeper flavor and firmer texture.
  • reduces the need for antibiotics, medications, and coccidiastats.
  • harnesses the good things about nature.
  • empowers local and rural economies.
